UPPSC (Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission) is a constitutional body responsible for conducting recruitment examinations and selecting suitable candidates for various civil service positions in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The commission’s primary function is to conduct competitive examinations for appointments to various administrative positions (i.e., Uttar Pradesh Administrative Service (UPAS), Uttar Pradesh Police Service (UPPS), Uttar Pradesh Finance Service (UPFS), and other allied services.) and it is responsible for ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection process for various government positions in the state government. The UPPSC conducts examinations in a 3-tier process, which includes the Preliminary Examination (first stage and consists of objective-type questions), Main Examination (written examination comprising several papers that evaluate the candidates’ knowledge in various subjects), and Interview.
